Bristol Borough is home to a section of the Delaware River and Wednesday evening artists will display their work to celebrate the union.

The Centre for the Arts on Mill Street will host 25-artists who submitted their piece earlier this month.

The theme is ‘Our River’, which runs through Bristol, Yardley, New Hope, and Lambertville. Artists were allowed to expand their pieces to “fishing, wildlife, marshes, the new Bristol Docks, bridges, landscapes, riverfront parks and more,” as the registration form stated.

Bill Pezza, the organizer of the event and president of the civic group Raising the Bar, says it’s an open invitation to all.

In addition to the message of the night The Delaware River Keepers, a nonprofit membership organization, will be present to distribute information.
